Our Life in Louisville: Our Church!

Since arriving here in Louisville, Kristi and I have been attending 9th and O Baptist Church. We hope that this slide show provides you a window into the pleasure that is ours in being members of this great church of believers in Jesus Christ.

So, why are we attending 9th and O?

First, 9th and O has a high view of the Scriptures as God’s wholly true and authoritative revelation of his character and his purposes. The preaching makes us uncomfortable and we like that! Second, the church is gospel minded. The honor and glory of Jesus Christ is the goal of all creation. It is our highest joy and greatest privilege to live that out and this church has as its center, the person and work of Jesus Christ. From the get go, we sensed a real desire on the part of the leadership for this church to be a light of the gospel of Christ before the community. Third, we identified 9th and O as a place to develop deep and lasting relationships with other couples that would strengthen the Christian character of our marriage. We are involved in a young couples class led by Dr. Wellum, one of the professors at the school I attend. He is a godly man with a beautiful family and he is a tremendous example to us all.

Hey Hunters!
It is great to see you guys. We hope to be with you in person someday soon. It is cool to see Aaron and Stephanie’s baby! Wow, she is big! I guess our Hannah is not a baby anymore either. Guess what? I may be exploring an MDiv at Southern (through an extension in Arkansas) this summer. It’s time. Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas. Give us a call sometime!

Lots of love.
